As facilitators for the Liturgy of the Word for children, our main role is to present the Liturgy at a level that the children can understand and appreciate. We aim to make the Liturgy come alive for the children through visual communication such as drama, story telling, puppet plays and many more mediums.
We also organise special activities during special times in the Liturgical Year namely Lent, Easter, Pentecost, Children’s Day and Advent. For instance, we organise during Lent Stations of the Cross for the children and their families, as well as a special Easter Sunday mass where we distribute gifts to the children. Our facilitators are divided into three groups and usually take turns each weekend to break the Word to the children.
We meet either in church or in our homes to prepare for the Liturgy.
