To WALK with each youth on his/her faith journey, EMPOWERING him/her to BUILD vibrant communities as a DISCIPLE of Christ and a WITNESS to His love."
The YOUhf community was established in 2013 to gather the young people of Holy Family Church together as one body in Christ. Incepted by Andrew Lin, our then Youth Pastoral Coordinator and Fr. Damian De Wind, our Youth Chaplain, the community has grown and flourished in the past 2 years, where the focus is on each youth encountering the love of Christ through sharing of the Word and community living. This enables all youth to be part of the community whether or not they feel called to serve in a particular area. The community has grown into a close-knit family who welcomes new members with open hearts and arms.
YOUhf has also incorporated a Young Adults community whose vision is to be an oasis for young working adults to support and edify each other in their faith journey.
YOUhf and Young Adults participate in their internal community retreats, activities and events conducted by the Singapore Archdiocese’s Office for Young People (OYP) throughout the year. Most recently, the young adults community aided the YOUhf at their outreach camp, ‘Camp Alive’ 2014. They took up roles in the logistics, games and intercessory teams. This created a deep sense of cohesion and unity amongst the YOUhf and young adults community, which could see more collaborations between YOUhf and the young adults community.
YOUhf meets every Friday 7.45-10pm for community sessions, while the Young Adults meet every Thursday 8.30 -10.30 pm. Feel free to join us!
